Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki (American political advisor) was the 34th White House secretary. She served this role from 2021-2022. As a member of the Democratic Party she has previously been a part of the Obama administration as White House deputy press secretary (2009), White House assistant communications director (2009–2011) as well as the spokesperson of the United States Department of State(2013-2015) and White House communication director (2015–2017). Psaki contributed to CNN's political coverage from 2017 until 2020. Psaki's career began in 2001 when she worked on behalf of the reelection campaigns for Tom Harkin, an Iowa Democrats running for the U.S. Senate. Psaki then served as the press secretary deputy for John Kerry's presidential election campaign. From 2005 until 2006, Psaki served as communications director for U.S. representative Joseph Crowley as well as the regional press secretary of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. In 2012, Psaki returned to political communications as press secretary for President Obama's 2012 reelection campaign. [20] Psaki was appointed as spokesperson for the United States Department of State on February 11, 2013. She was hired at the Department of State to fill the White House Press Secretary Jay Carney's position.[21However, Josh Earnest took his place on May 30,2014. She was named communications director in the White House and continued to do so until the end in 2015.
